I’m passionate about sustainability and environmental engineering, and I try to apply this mindset in my everyday life. I believe science, technology, and community can help build a better world. Having my own family has made me feel even more strongly that a sustainable future is not a luxury, but a necessity.

I live with my Hungarian wife, our four-year-old son Quim Balázs, our eight-year-old cat Karla, and a kitten we found in Hungary who recently joined the family. I’m also learning Hungarian to connect more with my wife’s culture, and our trips to Hungary are great chances to practice with family and friends.

In my free time, I enjoy bouldering, cycling, and cinema and music.
